The three-level atom in a 𝑉 configuration is confined in the single-mode optical cavity. The behaviors of this system in the parametric space have been studied theoretically in the steady state. The descriptive master equation of this system is numerically solved in the basis of the atom and cavity. The different characteristics of the system are differentiated from one another based on the various values of the critical photon number. The limiting treatments of this system can vary between those of a semiclassical laser and an effective two-level atom. Numerical simulations appropriately confirm the shown pattern in these two limiting cases.
