The predatory bug Macrolophus pygmaeus Rambur is one of the important natural enemies in greenhous. Economical use of natural enemies need to study the effective parameters in their efficiency. Host plant characteristics may influence the quality and quantity of natural enemies. In this research, age-stage two-sex life table parameters of this predator was studied by feeding on the eggs of Ephestia kuehniella under 25±1 oC, 65±5% RH and 16:8 h (L:D) photoperiod condition on the pods of green bean Phaseoulus vulgaris and leaves of Pelargonium hortorum; which served as oviposition substrate as well as moisture source for the predator. Data analysis carried out based on age-stage two sex life table program. Data were analyzed using two-sex MS-Chart program (Chi, 2015). The results showed significant differences in developmental time and survival rate of the predator on various substrate plants. Developmental time were recorded on P. vulgaris and P. hortorum 17.04 ± 0.11(♂), 16.83 ± 0.10 (♂) and 17.31± 0.09 (♀), 17.11 ± 0.11 (♀) days as well as its survival rate as 90 % and 95 % respectively. Additionally, the longevity were estimated 23.80 ± 1.22, 25.90 ± 0.72 days for males and 21.55 ± 1.20, 24.75 ± 0.61 days for females on the first and seconf plant respectively. Morevere the mean fecundity were 37.48 ± 3.65 and 40.96 ± 2.60 per female respectively. Also, mean net reproductive rate (R0) (18.12 ± 2.31 and 19.12 ± 2.24 (Eggs/individual) and mean generation time (T) (35.93 ± 0.26 and 37.93 ± 0.22 day) estimated higher on the Pelargonium, while the mean intrinsic rate of increase (rm) (0.08 ± 0.004 and 0.08 ± 0.003 day-1) and finite rate of increase (λ) (1.08 ± 0.004 and 1.08 ± 0.003 day-1) were the same on the both plants. Also gross reproduction rate (GRR) (21.53± 2.68 and 20.24 ± 2.33 (Eggs/individual)) for predator was estimated higher on Phaseoulus. The results indicated the significant influence of host on the population growth parameters of M. pygmeaus. Also the r
