The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) on Pd nanoparticles decorated chlorine doped reduced graphene oxide (Pd/Cl-RGO) electrocatalyst have been investigated in alkaline media. Pd is a promising alternative to the expensive platinum. The surface morphology of prepared materials (RGO, Cl-RGO and Pd/Cl-RGO) is studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The characterization of synthesis catalysts was performed by FT-IR, XRD and Raman techniques. The electrocatalyst performances are investigated by cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 0.1 M KOH solution. The Pd/ClRGO exhibited excellent eletrocatalytic activity towards the ORR in alkaline media. The ORR proceeds via 4-electron pathway using rotating disk electrode (RDE) technique.
