Abstract

This book focuses on graphene and its applications in catalysis science and technology categorized "graphene surfaces." It provides a comprehensive overview on graphene and also its decoration with nanomaterials in terms of their electronic structure, synthesis, properties and general applications in catalysis science such as alcohols and their derivatives oxidation, oxygen reduction, hydrogen evolution, energy storage, corrosion protection and supercapacitors. The book also covers emerging research on graphene chemistry and the impact of the research on fundamental and applied sciences. 1) Discusses graphene’s structure, surface active sites, catalytic properties and its decoration with particles, acting as a time-saving book for researchers, graduated student and engineering of science and technology 2) Reviews the synthesis methods, catalytic and electrocatalytic properties and characterization techniques related to graphene, equipping the reader with catalyst knowledge related for practical application 3) Different aspects of graphene physical and electrochemical properties 4) Most important application of graphene in electrochemical systems. 5) Both experimental and theoretical aspects of graphene are highlighted.
