A new method for solving a semidefinite optimization problem using an interior point approach will be discussed in this paper. Since the symmetry of the search direction matrices is a necessary condition in solving the system of central path equations with Newton's method, and unfortunately this condition does not always hold, different methods have been proposed to overcome this challenge, most of which require the inverse calculation of a matrix, which is a costly computation. In this paper, a new method for symmetrizing the search direction is presented that does not require such computations.
