Abstract

In terms of dry matter production per hectare, potato is the most productive crops which is very important as source of nutritious food all over world. A study was conducted to determine the response of potato to different chemical and organic fertilizers applied as control (no fertilizer application), NPK chemical fertilizer (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), MOG bio-fertilizer (organic liquid fertilizer), and complete nano-fertilizer on two cultivars of Agria and Spirit. The measured traits were number of stems, number of leaves per plants, day to initiation of tuberization, days to flowering, days to row closure, number tuber per plant, mean tuber weight, main stem diameter, tuber weight per plant, tuber yield, days to maturity and starch of tuber which were receded based on the standard descriptor. The statistical treatment × trait biplot model was accounted 86% of total observed variation in dataset. The Ideal Entry tool of used model indicated the cultivar Sprit with complete nano-fertilizer as best treatment while Ideal Tester tool of model showed the mean tuber weight as the best trait and demonstrated less importance of phonological traits in distinguishing differences among treatment combinations. According to the Ranking of Testers option of biplot model, and number tuber per plant and starch of tuber were associated with tuber yield. Based on Ranking of Entries option of biplot model, cultivar Agria with complete nano-fertilizer was the best treatment for obtaining high tuber yield. Finally, the performance of cultivar Agria was better than cultivar Sprit and produced more tuber yield performance with more responding behavior to fertilizer treatments application
