In this paper,(nanocomposite of CeTPP/TiO2/HY) zeolite-encapsulated Ce(IV) porphyrin/TiO2 (CeTPP/TiO2/HY) was prepared by zeolite synthesis method and characterized by FESEM, XRD, FT-IR, ICP, and UV-Vis techniques. The amount of CeTPP in the nanocage of zeolite was determined by ICP. This photocatalytic system was used for efficient photodegradation of 4-Nitrophenol under UV irradiation conditions. The photodegrading 4-NP experiments indicated that this photocatalyst greatly enhanced the photocatalytic activity of bare TiO2. Among bare TiO2, CeTPP/TiO2 and CeTPP/TiO2/HY, CeTPP/TiO2/HY was select as photocatalyst system because of high degradation of 4-NP.
