Soil erosion is the displacement of the upper layer of soil and it is one of the forms of soil
degradation. This natural process is caused by the dynamic activity of erosive agents, that is,
water, ice (glaciers), snow, air (wind), plants, animals, and humans. Efficient estimation of the
intensity of this process is very important for controlling and monitoring of riverine hydrology,
ecology and water quality. Modelling in ungauged basins has been considered as one of the main
challenges in hydrological sciences. The objective of this research was to simulate responses of
erosion processes, calculating sediment yield by using the River Basin model, based on the
Erosion Potential Method. The results of the assessment pointed out a low potential of soil
erosion risk in the studied basin, although in the river basin prevails very steep slopes (Isr,
40.53%).
