The fate of nitroaromatics and pesticides, as two important classes of Semivolatile Organic Compounds (SVOCs), in the atmospheric and total environment was the topic I was involved during this sabbatical leave. The reaction rate of these compounds with the hydroxyl radicals in the gas-phase was studied using flash photolysis-resonance fluorescence technique. According to the obtained results and the next discussions, the suitable mechanisms were proposed for the reactions. I did my researches under supervision of Prof. Gerhard Lammel at Department of Multiphase Chemistry, Institute for Chemistry, Max-Planck located in Mainz, Germany.
