Abstract

In this study, biobased nanocomposites were prepared by incorporating graphene nanoplatelets into blend of poly(lactic acid)/polyvinyl acetate (PLA/PVAc) through the simple solvent mixing method. It was observed that the blending of PLA with PVAc, noticeable improves brittleness of PLA. Moreover results demonstrated that adding graphene nanoplatelets into PVAc/PLA blend significantly improved the mechanical strength and modulus of the matrix at room temperature as well as above Tg.
