Introduction: Sports coaches, as pioneers of sports development in the country, need the ability to recognize moral, personality and appropriate decision problems and are responsible for making ethical decisions, both in the workplace and in sports fields. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and ethical decision making of sports coaches in West Azerbaijan province. Methodology: The statistical population of the study included all active sports coaches in West Azerbaijan province. The research sample was randomly selected from 384 people. The decision-making questionnaire in difficult moral situations of caswell (2003) and the self-efficacy questionnaire of Feltz et al. (1999) with desirable validity and reliability were used to collect data. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 25. Results: The results showed that there is a significant relationship between coaches self-efficacy and making moral decisions in difficult moral situations. The results also showed that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and components of ethical decision making. Discussion and Conclusion: Due to the commercialization of sports and the involvement of coaches in a slave-oriented manner, a number of coaches do not follow ethical principles to satisfy their selfish needs, break the rules in their favor, make wrong decisions, and Consequently, when win-win and the outcome of the game and the match are of great importance, it influences the coach s behaviors and plays a vital role in determining values and ideals. Therefore, it is necessary and important to pay attention to matters that improve moral decision making.
