Introduction: This study aims to investigate the role of physical activity in enhancing psychological resilience among adolescents, emphasizing the significance of this developmental stage as a critical period for mental and physical growth and the need for effective interventions to promote youth mental health. Method: This study is fundamental, quantitative, and descriptive in nature, aiming to investigate the role of physical activity in strengthening resilience and mental toughness among students at Maragheh University. The statistical population of this research included students at Maragheh University, from which 80 individuals were selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale and the Sports Mental Toughness Questionnaire (SMTQ). Based on their physical activity history, participants were divided into two active and inactive groups. Descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, were used for data analysis, while an independent t-test was applied to examine group differences at the inferential statistics level. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software. Results: The results show that no differences were observed between the two groups in terms of resilience and mental toughness (p>0.05). Conclusion: This study examines the impact of physical activity on psychological resilience and mental toughness in students. The results show that physical activity, especially when combined with psychological strategies, can effectively enhance mental toughness and resilience.
