Strawberry is one of the most important small fruits in most countries of the world and the genotypes differ in their storability and bioactive compounds that play a considerable role in the consumers’ health and consent. The aim of this study was to compare four commercial strawberry cultivars (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) sampled in Kurdistan province due to properties such as Firmness, TSS, pH, and TA. The results showed that Firmness varied between 1.07 to 1.56 (N/m2) while TSS ranged from 6.61 to 7.42. Also, pH ranged from 3.06 to 3.31 and the highest and lowest TA were 1.47 and 1.03 in ̒Paros̕ and ‘Kurdistan’ cultivars, respectively. Compared with the other cultivars, ‘Kurdistan’ cultivar exhibited the highest TSS. ̒Paros̕ strawberry showed the highest firmness and acid contents and the lowest pH. Generally, interaction between the climatic conditions and the type of cultivar affected the biochemical compounds, quality, and also taste of the fruits. Therefore, cultivar choice is the most important factor before planting.
