Abstract
|
In this paper, SBA-15 mesoporous silica with sulfamic acid content was found to be a solid acid catalyst which is a type of heterogeneous Bronsted acid while ionic liquid type behavior owing to its zwitterionic feature of some sulfamic acid motifs. It was a metal-free catalyst with higher recyclability and lower production of VOCs in the oxidation of aromatic sulfides in the presence of hydrogen peroxide under aqueous conditions within 15 min. On the other hand, we proposed a cooperative catalytic activity for SBA-15-SA which originates from its both ionic liquid nature and Bronsted acid feature.
