Title Synthesis and Characterization of neat and encapsulated Co-Porphyrin into nanocage of dealuminated Y zeolite by EDTA treatment
Type Presentation
Keywords Cobalt porphyrin”Dealuminated zeolite”encapsulated
Abstract In this work, cobalt tetra pyridylporphyrinwas synthesized in the nanocage of dealuminated Y zeolite. The appropriateprocess chosen for theporphyrinsynthesis was using the propionic acid solvent for reaction between pyrrole andbenzaldehyde and this solvent was not destructive for zeolite. The powder X-ray diffraction data confirmed that thecrystallinity of the zeolite was maintained. The resulting materials were purified by Soxhlet extractor. The zeolite-included metalloporphyrins were identified for studies using UV-Vis, FTIR Spectroscopy, AAS (atomic absorption spectroscopy), XRD, SEM techniques. The amounts of cobalt in cobalt porphyrin encapsulated in dealuminated Y zeolite were determined by atomic absorption spectroscopywhich showed value of 377.49 mg/kg.
