Title Positivity preserving and elementary stable nonstandard finite difference scheme for the predator-prey model
Type JournalPaper
Keywords Predator-Prey, Stability, Positivity, Elementary stable, Nonstandard finite difference.
Abstract In this paper, the nonstandard finite difference method is applied to construct the new finite difference scheme for an initial value problem modeled by a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. For this purpose, we consider the general Rosenzweig-MacArthur predator-prey system. The new proposed scheme has some suitable properties such as accuracy and easiness implementation as well as preserving properties of the exact theoretical solution of predator-prey system like positivity and elementary stability.
