Abstract
|
The non-isothermal degradation behavior of different polymers was studied by thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) under nitrogen purge. A case study on polystyrene (PS), poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) and their copolymers was done. In this study, several analytical models (like Coats-Redfern method) have been used to estimate the arrhenius parameters. Furthermore the iso-kinetic relationship (IKR) was used to estimate a model independent pre-exponential factor (lnA) corresponding to a given degree of conversion.
