Title Synthesis and characterization of a new polyoxovanadate for the one-pot three-component (A3) coupling of aldehydes, amines and alkynes

Abstract Polyoxovanadate, (NH4)2[Zn(H2O)6]2[V10O28]∙4H2O was synthesized and characterized by the single crystal Xray analysis. (NH4)2[Zn(H2O)6]2[V10O28]∙4H2O was found to be an efficient catalyst for one-pot synthesis of propargylamines by three component (A3) coupling of aldehydes, amines and alkynes without any co-catalyst or activator under solvent-free condition. In the presence of this catalytic system both aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes and alkynes could react and so produce the corresponding propargylamines in good to excellent yields.
