Abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity, extreme temperatures, and heavy metal toxicity are major limiting factors for crop productivity worldwide. Nano-enabled agriculture involves the use of various nanomaterials, such as nanoparticles, nanotubes, and nanofibers, to improve plant growth and yield by enhancing nutrient uptake, mitigating stress, and increasing tolerance to environmental factors. This chapter summarizes recent advances in nano-enabled agriculture for improving plant performance under abiotic stress conditions.
