In this study, stainless steel with a nickel layer (Ni/SS) and composite of RGO and Ni coated on SS
(G/Ni/SS). The Ni and graphene film, synthesized by electrochemical method in watts bath. The
morphology of coated surfaces are studied by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and Atomic-force microscopy (AFM). Here, we employ electrochemical measurements such
as linear polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements in 3.5% NaCl
solution to study the corrosion inhibition of the sample. Finally, we use Tafel analysis to quantify
the corrosion rates of samples with and without coatings. Our results show that even non-perfect
multilayer graphene films can considerably increase the life time of future-generation bipolar plates
for fuel cells.
