Design of H3+2yPW12-x-yMoxTiyO40.XH2O/Y and FAU zeolite composite photocatalysts was performed by using template synthesis method into nanocage of Y zeolite. For this purpose, Y-zeolite was dealuminated by EDTA treatment. The formation of Substituted heteropoly acid encapsulated into dealuminated Y zeolite was established by X-ray diffraction (XRD),Foriere transform infrared (FT-IR), Uv-visible absorption spectroscopy (UV-Vis), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The photocatalytic activity of these systems was investigated in the photodegradation of methyl orange. The W, Mo and Ti content of the catalyst was determined by ICP method. To obtain the optimum operational conditions for photodegradation of methyl orange, several key factors (including catalyst loading, pH effect, methyl orange concentration and type and number of substituted) were investigated under UV light irradiation. The Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) experimental proved mineralization of methyl orange. The absence of hydrazine proved by related experiment. Photocatalytic degradation kinetics of methyl orange was obeyed from pseudo-first order.
