The eventuality of determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in water samples is studied by utilizing keggin polyoxometalate nanocluster/ ionic liquid on hexagonally ordered silica as solid-phase microextraction adsorbent. Parameters affecting the extraction of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons into the coating such as sampling time, sampling volume, and temperature are also evaluated. In the optimized conditions, (Desorption temperature: 270 C, Desorption duration: 2 min, Extraction temperature: 80 C, Extraction duration: 30 min, pH: 7 and Stirring rate: 700 r.p.m) the correlation coefficients were high (0.9976), linear ranges were broad 0.00001-10 mgL1) and limit of detections were suitable (0.36 mg L1).
