In recent years, the field of nano-enabled agriculture has witnessed significant progress in developing novel strategies for enhancing plant performance under abiotic stress conditions. Abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity, extreme temperatures, and heavy metal toxicity are major limiting factors for crop productivity worldwide. Nano-enabled agriculture involves the use of various nanomaterials, such as nanoparticles, nanotubes, and nanofibers, to improve plant growth and yield by enhancing nutrient uptake, mitigating stress, and increasing tolerance to environmental factors. This chapter summarizes recent advances in nano-enabled agriculture for improving plant performance under abiotic stress conditions. It covers a range of topics, including the mechanisms of action of nanomaterials, their effects on plant growth and physiology, and their potential applications in agriculture. The review highlights the potential of nano-enabled agriculture as a sustainable approach for addressing the challenges of abiotic stress in agriculture and improving crop productivity.
